This series of portraits was created on colored Canson paper using Prismacolor pencils as part of an artist study in my drawing course. The project explored technique, tone, and material through emulation and reinterpretation, studying an artist’s approach while integrating my own stylistic voice. Each piece focuses on form, texture, and individuality, using rich color layering and subtle gradients to build lifelike skin tones and depth. The floating lines and negative space were intentional compositional choices, drawing attention to the subjects’ quiet strength and emotive presence.
